How to Join!

UMCP KDSAP is recruiting for the Fall 2025 Semester!

Kidney Disease Screening Awareness Program (KDSAP) is an organization that focuses on community outreach to local medically underserved populations and allows students to organize and run monthly kidney health screenings. We are looking for motivated individuals who hope to engage with the surrounding D.C. community, and through hands-on patient interaction, learn more about the impacts of kidney disease on community health. This is an ideal opportunity (but not limited to) students of Public Health and students on the pre-medical track. However, we have had many members with interests outside of these majors.

This spring semester, UMCP KDSAP will be hosting a student-led screening event on October 18th! There will be a training GBM on October 16th to prepare before the screening event.

We recruit new members on a rolling basis. Anyone is welcome to join at any time and will be an active member if they meet set requirements.

If you are interested in joining for the Fall 2025 and future semesters, please follow us on Instagram where you can find the link to join our Slack channel and complete this google form to receive weekly newsletters containing GBM announcements, upcoming shadowing/clinical opportunities, volunteer opportunities, kidney disease screening information, etc.
